Delhi budget session likely from February 15

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has given his approval for the proposal to convene the budget session from February 15 to 20. The file to convene the proposed session has been forwarded to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. Atishi, representing the Delhi government, announced that suggestions were sought from all stakeholders for inclusion in the budget. Additionally, the government plans to present the 'Outcome Budget' for the financial year 2023-24, highlighting achievements and progress made across various sectors including education, health, electricity, water, roads, and infrastructure, addressing pertinent issues for the fiscal year 2024-25. The budget preparation has been underway for the past 20 days, with Kejriwal chairing the first high-level meeting regarding the budget on January 6. During the meeting, each minister was directed to specify the priorities of their respective departments.

Delhi government had sought suggestions from all stakeholders to be included in the budget, Atishi said.
Delhi government will also present the 'Outcome Budget' for the financial year 2023-24, showcasing the achievements and progress made. Several significant issues related to education, health, electricity, water, roads, and infrastructure will be addressed in fiscal 2024-25.
Delhi government has been preparing the budget for past 20 days. Kejriwal, while chairing the first high-level meeting regarding the budget on Jan 6, directed each minister to specify priorities of their departments.
