A video of a woman expressing her frustration over an overcrowded train to a travelling ticket examiner (TTE) has surfaced online. The video, which was said to be captured near the Okha to Kanpur Central Express train, shows the woman venting out about "feeling uncomfortable" among several men in overcrowded coaches. However, the reply of the ticket checker has triggered a discussion on social media.

Shared by X user Manu, in the video, the woman was seen talking about a little space to move inside the train. She told the TTE, "You only say, how can we sit with so little space? A woman will feel uncomfortable sitting amidst several men. Leave about sitting, there is no place to even stand there".

The TTE, who was stationed at the train's gate, responded saying he could not do anything about the situation, and said, "I can't make extra trains run, I am not the Railways Minister".

This video has been met with widespread criticism as it went viral with over 7 lakh views on X. Several people shared their opinions in the comments section of the post. "This is a sorry state of railways," a person said.

"Totally failed railway management for a general traveller. This is normal on almost every train. Due to fewer trains for daily commuters," another commented.

"We need 3 times more trains to meet present requirements," another comment read. "Need big reforms for general coaches," another comment read.

The issue of overcrowded trains is never-ending as many passengers travel without tickets or with tickets for lower classes.

This year, in February, a video surfaced online in which people were seen travelling in the toilet of an overcrowded train as several other passengers made an attempt to board it at a station in Lucknow.
