The rising fever around the match was captured in a video shared by CSK on their social media accounts, where crowds could be seen mobbing the CSK team bus, trying to get a glimpse of the legendary MS Dhoni and other players.

The caption with the video read: "The WankheDEN Vibes! Overwhelmed."
Both CSK and MI have won the IPL title five times each -- led by their talisman captains Dhoni and Rohit Sharma. However, both are no longer captains.

Ahead of the ongoing season, Dhoni handed over the CSK captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad while Rohit was replaced as MI captain by Hardik Pandya.

MI got off to a torrid start to their campaign, losing their first three matches. However, they have launched a comeback since then by winning the next two matches and climbing up the points table to be number seven currently.
Defending champions CSK began the season well but then lost twice to be at six points from three wins in five matches. They are currently placed third on the points table.
