played a pivotal role in guiding Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to victory in the IPL match in Lucknow on Tuesday, just ahead of the announcement of
Australia
's
T20 World Cup
team.
Stoinis showcased his all-round prowess by first contributing with the ball, taking a wicket, and then stepping up with the bat to score a crucial 62 runs. His innings proved to be instrumental in Lucknow's successful chase of the modest target of 145 against Mumbai Indians, helping the home team achieve victory with four wickets and four balls to spare.
With this win, LSG moved up to the third position in the 10-team table, which is currently led by Rajasthan Royals. Meanwhile, five-time champions Mumbai Indians remained in the ninth position, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru occupying the bottom spot.

Did not expect to bowl three in the powerplay but nice to bowl. I thought the wicket was okay. We knew it was going to be slow. We could have pushed the envelope and scored a bit faster. If those partnerships went for 8-10 more balls, we would have done it more easily," Stoinis, who was named Player of the Match, said at the post match presentation.
"(On his dismissal) It was a drag-down, wasn't it? After doing the hard work and doing the hard stuff, it was just disappointing to get out and leave it to someone else. This is my third year, fortunate enough to have been here since day one, from before the auction. Have built a few close bonds with people. We are playing good cricket, and everything is good," Stoinis added.
