Roma have reportedly contacted two Spanish coaches as their search for Claudio Ranieri’s successor continues.

The capital club recently added Unai Emery of Aston Villa and Como’s Cesc Fabregas to their shortlist.

However, Corriere dello Sport reports that after Ranieri’s approach, both technicians declined the offer from Roma.

The Aston Villa manager, coming off a successful season and currently in the Champions League quarter-finals, has reportedly declined the invitation to move to the capital.

The same outcome for Cesc Fabregas, currently at the helm of Como, who has reportedly thanked him without even listening to the proposal.

The two Spanish managers, therefore, are not included in the list of those three or four managers proposed to Ryan and Dan Friekdin.
