Actor Ma Dong-seok, also known as Don Lee, is finally set to get married to his girlfriend Ye Jung-hwa in a wedding ceremony this May. The news comes after the couple secretly registered their marriage in 2021.
Dong-seok and Jung-hwa, both entertainers, have been dating publicly since 2016. According to a representative from Ma's agency, Big Punch Entertainment, the wedding will be a private affair held in Seoul. Due to their busy schedules and likely lingering concerns from the COVID-19 pandemic, details about the ceremony are being kept under wraps.
"The couple will hold a private wedding ceremony in May," the representative told reporters. "The ceremony will be held with only family, relatives, colleagues, and acquaintances."
News of the wedding first surfaced in 2022 when Ma referred to Ye Jung-hwa as his 'wife' during an awards speech. This sweet gesture finally confirmed their marital status to the public, though the official ceremony had yet to take place.
Ma's upcoming film, "The Roundup: Punishment," hits theaters in Japan on April 24th, and Jung-hwa has been by his side throughout promotional events, showcasing their unwavering support for each other.
