Kapil Sharma
congratulated Parineeti on her wedding with politician Raghav Chadha and said, “Yeh Rajneeti karte karte Parineeti, Parineeti kabse karne lag gaya?” Parineeti replied, “He was seeing kitne saalon se mere saath flirting chal rahi hai mere saath, so he said main booking kar leta hu toh flirting ruk jaaye.”
Kapil then tells her, “Iss baat ki kya guarantee hai?” Archana Puran Singh added, “Iske saath koi guarantee nhi hai.”
Diljit Dosanjh reveals how without Imtiaz Ali’s direction he wouldn’t have been able to play Chamkila.
Talking more on this, Diljit said, “I am from Punjab soobviously I understood Chamkila better. But after meeting him, I surrendered. The way he stood, the way he spoke, the way he reacted, Imtiaz sir had done extensive homework on that.”

Kapil asked Imtiaz what inspired him to make a film on Chamkila. The director revealed that before he embarked on the journey with Chamkila in Punjab, he had already been touched by the region's rich culture during the making of Jab We Met. Interacting with the vibrant personalities there unveiled the myriad layers of Punjab's essence, an experience that planted the seeds for the Chamkila narrative in his mind.
Here, Imitiaz also mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan mentioned Diljit Dosanjh’s name to him as one of the best actors in the country and talking about getting Parineeti on board, the director said, “If Diljit had declined this film then it would have not happened. We are very lucky and we couldn’t have had a better cast than this. Both of them. Parineeti because she is an actor, singer and the person who was ready to gain 15 kgs. It was nice.”
Parineeti shared, “Genuinely, working on a biopic isn’t enjoyable if you don’t look the part. So I quickly put on 15 kilos because I had to resemble Amarjot ji. She was doing show during her pregnancy. So I had to look pregnant. Under Sir’s guidance, unhone jo mujhe khaana khilaye, paranthe khilaye, I don’t think I will enjoy this much in any other film.”
The show also delved into many witty moments and gave a glimpse into the making of the film.
