THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A 17-year-old was shot in the stomach on Monday night, police said Thursday.
The shooting happened in the vicinity of 1700 Crotona Park at around 8:41 p.m., according to the NYPD.
A suspect approached the victim and discharged multiple rounds in the victim's direction, police said.
One bullet struck the victim in the stomach, according to officials. The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.
The suspect fled on foot heading westbound on Claremont Parkway, according to the NYPD. The suspect was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a white logo and multicolored pants, police said.
The NYPD released a surveillance image of the unidentified suspect, who hasn’t been caught.
