NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Pharmacy giant Walgreens has announced it will be closing more than 1,000 stores nationwide to help rebuild its business and among them are a number of stores in New York and New Jersey.
The dates vary across stores, but generally some stores will close within the next week while others will shutter in later June.
Walgreens is the latest major company to close multiple stores to help struggling business after others like Macy's and Dollar General.
An analysis by Nexstar found closing banners on the following stores in New York and New Jersey.
