Sonakshi Sinha expresses happiness as the entire set clapped for her after she daced on 'Tilasmi Bahein' in one take

Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Heeramandi

: The Diamond Bazaar." The series tells the story of courtesans living in the red-light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore during pre-independence India. Sonakshi portrays Fareedan, a character she described as slightly negative.

Describing the experience on it, she revealed during an interview that the entire choreography of the song was changed at the last minute. She told Hindustan Times, “I had rehearsed for something completely different and we had kept four days aside to shoot that particular song. We went for the shoot on the first day and we shot for a few hours and I did the choreography which was planned. Suddenly he got up and was like, ‘I don’t want to do this! I want to shoot the whole song in one take and let us design it right now!’ That’s when it happened so I had no time to prepare. I had to learn the lyrics right there…”
She further added that she was feeling a lot of pressure because it was her first Bhansali song. More so, because she had nevr done a one-shot song in her entire career. "But I love performing and when the camera comes on, I become the character. We did four takes but the take that you see is the first take that we did," revealed Sonakshi.
Sonakshi expressed astonishment at the remarkable occurrence, describing the day as truly magical. She remarked that she still finds it unbelievable, and after completing the first take, the entire set erupted into applause, with even Sanjay sir showing great joy and excitement, a sight she had never witnessed before.
