Sara Khan

rose to fame as Sadhana Rajvansh in Rajan Shahi’s Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai. Her portrayal of a simpleton struck a chord with the audience. It is no surprise that the actress considers television her favourite medium and the show as particularly special.
Speaking about the opportunities for artistes to explore various mediums today, she says, “Unlike earlier times, the beauty of being an artiste today is that we aren’t confined to a single medium.

I have always believed that the chance to showcase your talent is paramount. It’s not the platform that matters, but rather your character and performance. While I do wish to grow and explore different mediums, TV will always be my first love and top priority. It has made me who I am today. That being said, I don’t think about the medium I work in; it’s always about the character I am offered. That’s what draws me to a project.”
Sara’s interest in the acting profession blossomed during her growing-up years. Her exposure to K-soaps laid the foundation for her acting aspirations. The actress, who hails from Bhopal, recalls, “I was a huge fan of all K-sagas, especially Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Although I would often reenact scenes from popular shows at home, the idea of becoming an actor seemed unimaginable. However, my life took an unexpectedly beautiful turn when I was cast in Bidaai. I believe I manifested being a part of this wonderful industry. The show provided me with a character and opportunities a newcomer can rarely hope for.”
