NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- The Street Vendor Project's scavenger hunt promises a citywide adventure with prizes, missions, and delicious food.
Registration opened Monday for vendors looking to participate in the Street Vendor Project's scavenger hunt.
The scavenger hunt kicks off on May 4 through May 17. Participants can play by competing in a team of up to 10 friends, family, or co-workers, organizers said.
Attendees can also complete missions on the event's app such as "take a photo of a mural that shows a street vendor on the job” or “find the only street vendor selling pastafrolas.”
“We love this scavenger hunt and have had such a wonderful time exploring new foods, new parts of the city, and meeting new people. And, most importantly, we have a far deeper understanding of street vendors and the challenges and discrimination they experience” said Caryn Cochran-Branson, a participant from 2023.
