EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (PIX11) -- Ahead of Shakira's sold-out concert at MetLife Stadium on Thursday and Friday and Beyonce's shortly after, NJ Transit has nixed rail service to the venue in anticipation of a looming locomotive worker strike.
Officials have not said whether service might be restored if a deal is reached by Friday but in the meantime, other mass transit services are working to meet the new demand of commuters who won't have access to NJ Transit.
Coach USA bus service is the best alternative for concertgoers who prefer to use mass transit to go to the venue. Commuters can purchase advance tickets for the 351 Express bus that runs between Port Authority and MetLife Stadium.
Alternatively, those planning to drive are advised to carpool and commute early to avoid traffic. Visitors who may use rideshare services are told to be aware of longer pick-up and drop-off times.
