Jon Bon Jovi recently provided an update on his road to recovery after undergoing major throat surgery 19 months ago. The 61-year-old singer opened up about the experience in a recent interview with Associated Press, revealing the challenges he's faced and his hopeful return to touring.
At the press conference of his upcoming film 'Thank You, Goodnight', the rock legend talked to the Associated Press about his journey to recovery. He said, "I am well on the road to recovery; not quiet exactly where I want it yet but that bar is very high."
Bon Jovi had undergone surgery to address a deteriorating vocal cord. The surgery, described as 'major reconstructive,' left the Grammy-winning musician fearing his ability to sing ever again.
While acknowledging it's been a long road, Bon Jovi remains optimistic. "I'm well on the road to recovery," he said. He's even been able to record new music, taking his time to ensure each song is done right.
Premiering on Hulu and Disney+ on April 26, 2024, 'Thank You, Goodnight' chronicles the rise of Bon Jovi, from their New Jersey roots to international superstardom. It features interviews, personal footage, and music, offering a glimpse into the band's journey and the challenges they faced along the way, including Jon's recent vocal struggles.
