Person struck by train in Brooklyn; D subway trains delayed: MTA

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A person was struck by a train in Brooklyn early Wednesday morning, causing subway service delays on the D line, according to the MTA.

The person was struck at the 62nd Street subway station. Southbound D trains are running on the N line from 36th Street to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue until at least 8 a.m.

The MTA encouraged commuters to take a northbound train for service to and from stops along the D subway line in Brooklyn. You can transfer between southbound and northbound trains at 36th Street, 62nd Street-New Utrecht Avenue or Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue.

The condition of the person is unknown. Officials have not confirmed what led to the train striking the person.
