NTPC Simhadri
organised a
baseline survey
on Thursday as part of the Girl Empowerment Mission-2024 (
GEM-2024
). The Survey was conducted in collaboration with Bennett Colman & Co Ltd which aims to empower young girls from 28 government schools in Parwada mandal of Anakapalle district, setting the stage for transformative educational experiences.
The Baseline survey, which involved 120 students, took place at Bal Bharti Public School (BBPS), Simhadri after a successful registration process.
This survey marks the first step in understanding the educational landscape and needs of the participating students, laying the groundwork for tailored academic and co-curricular activities during the upcoming four-week long residential workshop.
The event also featured the screening of the GEM movie and presentation, highlighting the importance of empowering girls’ students underscoring the significance of the initiative, and encouraging active participation. The event was organized in the presence of K Prakasa Rao (Manager, HR) and Shivam Pratap Singh (Executive, CSR).
