Musicians

Babar Mangi

,

Noman Ali Rajper

and

Xulfi

come together to create

Aayi Aayi

, a track that gives ode to the Singh community. While talking to us about the track, Xulfi shares, “We aimed to create something with this song that portrays Sindhi culture and music narratives, even visually, in an interesting and adventurous manner, creating a bridge from Sindh to the world.

We wanted to shed light on what our Sindh is about, its language, and its people.” He further sheds light on the track and adds, “It's the story of Umar Marwi, a folk tale, where a village girl, Marwi, is taken away by a king against her will, but promising her queenship. However, she desires to return to her own people. Her own people are her home. She is resilient. And her resilience wins as she makes a triumphant return to her village and the villagers celebrate her coming back home.”
Noman believes that the song celebrates “victory, which can belong to anyone, regardless of culture, caste, or tribe”. He mentions, “Everyone is welcome to join us in this celebration. I'm deeply connected to this cause. We've always celebrated men, but now we're shining a light on something rarely discussed: women's victory. It's often overlooked, but today, we're changing that. We want to challenge the myth that women's happiness after success is strange. Our message is universal, and it's why I'm so emotionally invested and excited for this song."
Babar, shares, “It's one shot success, but be prepared to dive in when you get the chance. I was ready when the opportunity kicked in, here I am singing this in my own, Sindhi language."
The song will be streamed by

Coke Studio

in their upcoming 15th season. After the global success of Pasoori, anticipation for the track is high.
