A man was stabbed to death in Maharashtra's Nagpur over a dispute while smoking at a pan shop, officials said on Monday. Police have arrested four people, including two women, in the matter.

The incident took place in the Mahalaxmi Nagar area of Nagpur late Saturday night when the accused, Jayashree Panjhade, along with her friend Savita Sayre was smoking outside a pan shop.

According to officials, Jayashree blew smoke from the cigarette onto the face of the youth, identified as Ranjit Rathode, leading to a heated argument between them.

The altercation soon turned into a huge fight after Ranjeet started recording a video of the argument where Jayashree can be heard abusing him and blowing smoke towards him.

Soon after, Jayashree called her friends Akash Raut and Yashwant Sayare. After arriving at the scene, Akash confronted Ranjit and later stabbed him to death.

Based on a video from a mobile phone, the police arrested Jayashree Panzhare, Yashwant Sayare, Akash Raut, and Savita in connection with the case.
