Madgaon Express

has finally crossed the 30 crore mark, surpassing expectations of the trade which had expected the film to fold up its theatrical release anywhere between Rs 20 to Rs 25 crore.
Despite a modest start, Madgaon Express garnered Rs 13.5 crore in its debut week, followed by Rs 5.75 crore and Rs 5.4 crore in the second and third week, respectively. Despite facing competition from big Eid releases like Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miya, the film earned Rs 3 crore in the fourth week and in the fifth week the film collected Rs 2.08 taking the overall collection of Madgaon Express to Rs 29.83 crore. As the film entered the sixth weekend, on Friday it earned Rs 22 lakh while on Saturday it collected Rs 55 lakh and on Sunday the film earned Rs 69 lakh, as per Sacnilk. Thus the total collection of Madgaon Express stands at Rs 31.31 crore. With the success of Madgaon Express, industry has earned a very competent director in Kunal Kemmu and it would be interesting to see how he takes his career ahead managing both his acting and directorial careers.
