However, in a heartwarming twist of fate, some have been able to reunite with pieces of their past over the years. One such tale is that of Prof Amin Chohan from Lahore, who received a precious relic from his old home in India.

A door, a symbol of home and memories, travelled a long way from Batala to Mumbai, then Dubai, Karachi, and finally to Lahore, where Prof Amin Chohan lives. The door, filled with memories and history, was given to Prof Chohan by his friend from India, Palwinder Singh, as a gesture of shared heritage and friendship that transcends the borders and scars of partition.

Singh presented him with the door of his father's home in Ghoman Pind, Batala. The emotional moment was captured in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

As Prof Chohan unwrapped the door, his eyes filled with tears at the sight of the worn-out wood, filled with memories and history. The door had traveled a long journey, from Batala to Mumbai, then Dubai, Karachi, and finally to Lahore, where Prof. Chohan resides.
