A man in Indore allegedly tried to inject a woman who had rejected him with blood extracted from a beggar who was infected. The man, identified as Sanjay, was inspired by the Tamil movie 'I' where the protagonist was injected with a virus.
Sanjay was accompanied by one Kishor in trying to inject the woman with infected blood. Both the accused have been arrested.
Police said the woman filed a complaint saying the accused followed her and tried to inject her with the infected blood. However, she managed to escape after she raised an alarm.
Both the accused were arrested after police launched an investigation. During police questioning, it was revealed that Sanjay was inspired by the plot of the Tamil film.
Police said the accused is a repeat offender and there are 11 cases registered against him.
Further action will be taken against him after the blood in the syringe is examined, said police.
