Haley Pullos

is serving a 2023 DUI

sentence

.
Pullos submitted to 90 days in Pasadena City

Jail

on Monday, one year after her

arrest

on April 29, 2023, according to her attorney, Mark Daniel Melnick.
The 25-year-old actress pleaded not guilty to the charges stemming from a 2023 hit-and-run, which was followed by a wrong-way

crash

on a Los Angeles freeway that caused physical harm and property damage.

Melnick claims she is scheduled to be sentenced on July 29.
Pullos, in addition to 90 days in jail, must serve five years probation, 200 hours of community service, and pay $8,260 in compensation to Courteney Wilder, the second motorist involved in the incident, according to Melnick.

"Haley is very grateful to the

court

for a minimum sentence and for recognizing her remorse and the strides she has made in her sobriety," he said in a statement released to PEOPLE.
Shortly after the crash in April 2023, PEOPLE reported that law police discovered the

General Hospital

star stuck in her car, unable to get out. The Pasadena Fire Department had to use the "jaws of life" to rescue her from the truck, and she was then brought to a nearby hospital for treatment. Wilder, the other motorist involved, was also hospitalized with serious injuries.

In June of that year, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office confirmed to PEOPLE that Pullos was charged with one felony count of

DUI

causing injury, one felony count of driving with a.08 BAC causing injury, and one misdemeanor count of hit-and-run resulting in property damage. Pullos' representatives refused PEOPLE's request for comment at the time, but she allegedly pled not guilty.
In January, Wilder filed a lawsuit demanding compensation for the crash. Pullos' legal team has since responded to the case, disputing "generally and specifically each and every allegation" Wilder made in her action, according to court documents seen by PEOPLE.
The soap opera star also disputed any culpability for Wilder's claim that they "have sustained, or will sustain, any loss or damage in the manner or amount alleged" due to Pullos' actions.
Pullos contended in her counterclaim that the "damages" mentioned in the complaint were "proximately caused by either the sole negligent and/or intentional conduct of Plaintiffs."
Pullos argued that financial damages, "if any," should be "reduced by an amount proportionate to the amount by which Plaintiffs' negligent and/or intentional conduct contributed to the alleged damages." She further stated that "either wholly or in part," Wilder's damages were "intentionally or negligently caused by person, firms, corporation, or entities" beyond Pullos' control.
Pullos demanded that the case be dismissed and Wilder pay her legal bills.

Pullos joined a

rehabilitation

treatment facility following the tragedy, informing Soap Opera Digest in May 2023 that she was stepping down from her position as Molly Lansing-Davis on General Hospital due to the collision and the need for "a little time to recover."
In a statement to PEOPLE at the time, the Los Angeles County District Attorney stated that "drunk driving remains a grave concern in our communities, claiming thousands of innocent lives each year."
The D.A. went on to say, "Charging Haley Pullos with a felony DUI causing injury underscores the severity of this alleged offense."
