It has been a decade since the Monsterverse began with Godzilla and Kong, and now those ten years are being wrapped up with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The makers on Thursday released a new video celebrating those fantastic, fear-filled years, and fans couldn't have been more excited.
One dedicated fan wrote a lengthy comment which read, "It has been 10 years of the MonsterVerse with Godzilla and Kong. Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Godzilla vs. Kong. They have defeated against the deadliest villians: MUTOs, Skullcrawlers, King Ghidorah, Mecha-Godzilla, and now they will team up to defeat 2 new villains, Skar King and Shimo in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Happy 10th Anniversary MonsterVerse. Thank you Legendary (sic)."

The official synopsis of the film reads, "The epic battle continues! Legendary Pictures’ cinematic Monsterverse follows up the explosive showdown of “Godzilla vs. Kong” with an all-new adventure that pits the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence—and our own. “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” delves further into the histories of these Titans and their origins, as well as the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever."
