in a new avatar. The popular actor is returning to the small screen as a host of a musical show, ‘

Song Connection

’. ‘Song Connection’ is a captivating musical show that promises viewers with the enchanting melodies and captivating stories from the world of Bengali and Hindi cinema. ‘Song Connection’ is set to premiere on May 6, starting every Monday to Sunday at 10:30 am.

Gaurav will be seen hosting the musical show.

‘Song Connection’ will showcase a diverse repertoire of classic and modern songs from Bengali and Hindi cinema, including film songs, folk tunes, and Rabindra-Sangeet ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. Gaurav debuted as an actor on the small screen with a small role in the telefilm BaghNokh by famous director

Kaushik Ganguly

. Later, the actor shot to fame through the critically acclaimed Bengali musical TV series ‘Gaaner Oparey’ which also saw the debut of his sibling Arjun Chakrabarty as the male lead Gora. Gaurav debuted on the big screen with the film ‘Rang Milanti’. He went on to star in popular films like ‘Apur Panchali’, ‘The Bongs Again’, ‘Aschhe Abar Shabor’, ‘Crisscross’, ‘Sagardwipey Jawker Dhan’, ‘Dwitiyo Purush’. Gaurav has worked in web series like ‘Abar Proloy’, ‘Chhotolok’, ‘Parnashavarir Shaap’. The talented actor is now coming back to the small screen to try his hand at hosting.
During the launch of his show, Gaurav said, “I have grown up in an environment where people chat about film and music for hours. Listening to Kishore Kumar, Hemanta Mukhopadhyay, Manna Dey used to be a daily ritual at home. My higher education is also in film studies. So I really enjoy the discussion of the legacy of films, music, and the legendary people related to those. ‘Song Connection’ is a show where I’ll be able to pursue my passion as a professional. I am very excited about this show.”
