TIRUPATI: State finance minister
Buggana Rajendranath Reddy
dared his political opponent and
TDP candidate
Kotla Jayasurya Prakash Reddy for an open debate on the development witnessed at the
Dhone
assembly
constituency
in Nandyal district during the TDP and the
YSRCP regimes
.
Speaking to reporters at Dhone on Saturday, Buggana accused Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy of doing nothing tangible for the development of Dhone assembly even during his tenure as the union minister of state for Indian railways in the past.
The railway coach factory which he promised to bring to Dhone, remains a non-starter.
After going into a political oblivion for nearly 15 years, Kotla has come back to Dhone only to safeguard his political interests. With nothing left to showcase before the people to seek votes, Kotla is resorting to various kinds of false propaganda against me.
One such propaganda was that the election commission booked a case against him on charges of violating the model code of conduct by distributing buttermilk to Muslim brethren during a TDP meeting with Muslim minorities.
Kotla should realise that the EC books such cases on a suo-motu basis and I pity that a man who served as an MoS in the past isn't even aware of the EC guidelines.
Claiming that the Dhone assembly constituency has been the epicentre of development as well as in terms of the distribution of numerous welfare schemes during the YSRCP regime, the state finance minister exuded confidence of securing his hat-trick victory from Dhone in the upcoming general elections.
