Disturbance call leads to discovery of tortured dead cat in NY home: NCPD

LAKEVIEW, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man is accused of torturing and killing a cat inside a Lakeview house on Friday, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

Police said officers responded to a disturbance call at a Park Avenue home around noon. Azzm Khan, 26, was found inside along with a dead cat, according to authorities.

Police said the cat had been cruelly tortured and killed. Khan was arrested and taken to a local hospital, according to authorities.

Police said he was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and torturing animals/failure to provide sustenance. Khan is expected to appear in court on July 3.
