A 22-year-old woman died by suicide by hanging herself at her home in Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad on Saturday, police said.

Varsha, a student who had also been a NCC cadet, was preparing for the Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment exam. She was also preparing for the SSC exam to get a government job.

Varsha's family claimed that she was depressed over not being able to get a government job despite several attempts due to paper leak in the UP constable and RO/ARO exam.

Repeated cancellation of the exam due to paper leak forced her to take the extreme step, Varsha's brother Prashant Kumar said.

Meanwhile, during the investigation, police also recovered a suicide note at the scene where she mentioned about her failure to secure a government job.
