Delhi leads as world's most polluted capital with 41 other Indian cities

India's escalating pollution crisis has positioned it as the third-most polluted country globally, according to a comprehensive report by the Swiss air quality monitoring body, IQAir.

This alarming ranking places India just behind Bangladesh and Pakistan in terms of air quality degradation.

The 2023 report highlighted a significant concern with an average PM2.5 concentration of 53.3 micrograms per cubic meter, underscoring the severe air pollution levels that residents face daily.
