RAIPUR: A trial court in

Raipur

has approved a closure report filed by EOW-ACB after finding no case of disproportionate assets against

ex-IRS officer Aman Singh

and his wife Yasmin Singh. Singh was principal secretary to

ex-Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh

.
Probe did not validate the accusations against the couple. The closure report was submitted by EOW in Dec last year, before the current BJP administration took over.

Criminal lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani, who represented Singhs, said the FIR under the then Baghel govt was used to "unjustly target the couple, forcing them to undergo trials for years".
