MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Chapel Bar, a cocktail lounge located in a former 19th-century chapel in Manhattan, will be closing in June.
Chapel Bar, located at 277 Park Ave. South, will close its doors on June 15, according to its website.
Fotografiska announced it would be closing Chapel Bar as the photography museum prepares to relocate from its current location on Park Avenue South to a new space.
“Let’s make the most of these last days together, enjoying the unique atmosphere that made Chapel Bar legendary. Swing by for a drink, reminisce with friends, and be part of our journey until the very end,” a message on Chapel Bar’s website said.

Chapel Bar will remain open for private events until Sept. 29, according to its website.
In May, Fotografiska announced its plans to move to a larger location that provides more gallery space and better meets the needs of the museum’s visitors.
As part of the transition, Fotografiska announced it would be closing Chapel Bar and the restaurant Verōnika in mid-June.
Fotografiska opened in 2019 at its current location at 281 Park Ave. South. Its final day there will be on Sept. 29. The museum hasn’t yet announced where it will be relocating.
