Case against Karnataka man for death threats to PM, Yogi Adityanath

An FIR has been registered against a man from Karnataka's Yadgiri district for issuing death threats to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The accused, Mohammad Rasool, had posted a video on Facebook in which he was allegedly using offensive language against PM Modi and making threats to kill him and Yogi Adityanath.

The accused is a resident of Surpur in Yadgiri district and had worked as a labourer in Hyderabad and settled there.

Based on a complaint filed by a local, the Surpur police registered a case against Mohammad Rasool under sections 505(1)(b) and 25(1)(b), and the Arms Act.

They have also initiated a search for the accused in various locations, including Hyderabad.
