For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, building a competitive roster flows through the draft, not free agency. Jason Licht and the rest of the Buccaneers front office have garnered National media attention over the last few years over just how well the team has drafted.
In fact, of the 22 starters for Week 1 of the 2024 season, 20 of them were drafted by Tampa Bay. In 2020, they drafted two all-pro players in Antoine Winfield Jr. and Tristan Wirfs, who are arguably the best at their positions when healthy.
In 2022. Tampa Bay drafted multiple starters in tackle Luke Goedeke, tight end Cade Otton, cornerback Zyon McCollum, defensive end Logan Hall. In 2023, the haul included two budding defensive stars in edge Yaya Diaby and defensive tackle Calijah Kancey. The icing on the cake? The Bucs also drafted their starting center, Graham Barton, defensive chess piece Tykee Smith, and their first 1,000-yard rookie, Bucky Irving, in the 2024 Draft.
We don't take the #NFLDraft lightly.

Safe to say Licht has put on a clinic and has the blueprint for creating a young, talented roster without breaking the bank.
