Jack Della Maddalena forced a changing of the guard in the welterweight division Saturday when he dethroned Belal Muhammad in the UFC 315 main event.
Della Maddalena (18-2 MMA, 8-0 UFC) returned from a career-long injury layoff and thrived in his underdog role with a unanimous decision victory over Muhammad (24-4 MMA, 15-4 UFC) at Bell Centre in Montreal to become the 13th undisputed champion in divisional history.
