MUMBAI: A day after TOI reported that Zilingo
co-founder
and former CEO
Ankiti Bose
filed a criminal complaint against fellow co-founder
Dhruv Kapoor
and former COO
Aadi Vaidya
, following which local police filed an FIR against the duo, they issued separate statements saying Bose's allegations against them are untrue and baseless.
"Bose's allegations against me (Kapoor) are completely baseless, untrue, and malicious.
A thorough investigation has already proven her wrongdoing based on which she was terminated from the company. This appears to be nothing but retaliatory behaviour. Throughout my tenure at Zilingo, I upheld my integrity by aiding the board's inquiry into the CEO's misconduct while fostering professional relationships and striving to build ethical products," Kapoor said in a statement on Wednesday.
Vaidya said that Bose's move seems like nothing but a "clear afterthought done with a malicious intention" to harm his reputation and harass him.
Bose pressed charges of cheating, criminal intimidation, conspiracy and harassment. She was sacked from the position of CEO in May 2022 by the Singapore-based B2B fashion startup over alleged financial irregularities. In her six-page complaint, Bose alleged that Kapoor and Vaidya misled her and the company's investors in an attempt to gain financial advantages and coerced her into relinquishing her shares and business under false pretences. She said that Kapoor and Vaidya chose to be "sneaky and shady" by hiding various company-related data and information.
