NEW DELHI:

Yuzvendra Chahal

on Tuesday achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first Indian bowler to take 350 wickets in

T20 cricket

history. This outstanding achievement showcases his exceptional skill and consistency in the shortest format of the game.
Rajasthan Royals spinner Chahal got to the landmark during the IPL match against Delhi Capitals with the wicket of Rishabh Pant.

In his 301st appearance in the format, Chahal achieved this feat. The next best Indian on the list is veteran Mumbai Indians bowler Piyush Chawla, with 310 wickets.

Overall, he stands 11th on the list, which is topped by former West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo with 625 wickets in 574 appearances. Chahal is the fifth spin bowler and sixth Asian bowler to reach this milestone.

Out of his tally of 350 wickets, 96 were taken for Team India, marking the highest number of wickets by a bowler for the national side. Additionally, he has claimed 201 wickets in his IPL career, setting a record for the most wickets ever by a cricketer in the tournament.
Chahal's journey to this record has been filled with numerous match-winning performances for both the national team and in various T20 leagues. His ability to outsmart batsmen with his leg-spin has made him a crucial player in T20 matches.
