At this year’s CES,
Kohler
, a century-old plumbing product manufacturer, has come up with a
toilet seat
that you can talk to. The PureWash E930, is a $2,139 (around Rs 1,77,000) bidet toilet seat, which has all the tech that you didn’t know even a toilet seat can have. This fits onto most toilet seats, transforming your dumb loo into a smart one with
Alexa
or
Assistant taking orders for you.
Kohler says that
PureWash Bidet Seat
is designed to offer personal cleansing in a slim and low-profile design. The bidet seat opens and closes the cover automatically when it senses motion, and it comes with a self-cleaning mode using its built-in UV light.
Sitting on the toilet seat, you can use Alexa or Google Assistant to control the smart seat hands-free. One can turn it on and off, activate the air dryer, and clean just by telling the toilet. The water temperature and pressure can also be adjusted, and the bidet also has a seat heating feature and different spray modes ranging from gentle to full force.
For those who prefer not to use voice commands, the PureWash E930 comes with a remote control for manual use.
The Kohler toilet seat includes LED lighting for use as a nightlight. The seat also equips Kohler’s “Quiet-Close” technology that prevents seat slamming and a quick-release function for easy cleaning.
The bidet accessory is equipped with front and rear wash modes and a heated seat, and the remote control has two programmable presets. You can adjust the water temperature and pressure, and choose between oscillating or pulsating sprays. The bidet also has a child mode that offers a gentle wash for younger users.
Kohler PureWash E930 is up for pre-orders in the United States at a discounted price of $1,289 currently.
