She said, "After Akhil, my

mom

and dad are my support system. They are not here in India, but I am very close to them.

I'm very worried about my mom as her health is not good. She's currently 72 and has already undergone multiple surgeries. Recently, my mom fell very sick and was admitted to the emergency room on 14th February after which she has gone through a major operation last Wednesday, and yesterday, she fell again.. The operation went well but some complications happened and she is in ICU for observation only. I am travelling on 8th back to Germany."

She shared gratitude towards her fans.

I hope that soon God will make everything fall into place. I'm being approached for new projects, and once I return back I'll get back to work and will enjoy entertaining my fans."

Bernert married actor Akhil Mishra in a civil court on February 3, 2009. They married again in a traditional way on 30 September 2011. She had worked with him in the film Kram and Serial Mera Dil Dewaana. Mishra died on 20 September 2023 at the age of 67 after suffering a fall in the kitchen.
