Yami Gautam

and

Aditya Dhar

welcomed a

baby boy

on 'akshay tritiya' which was on May 10, 2024, but they've announced it only today on social media. Aditya penned a note, revealing their baby boy's name which read, "We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our beloved son,

VEDAVID

, who graced us with his birth on the auspicious day of 'akshay tritiya'.

Please shower him with your kind blessings and love. Warm Regards, Yami and Aditya."

The couple has opted for quite a unique name, which further reflects their spiritual side. According to Shiva puran, 'Vedavid' means, 'someone who is well versed with the vedas'. Vid means 'knowledge'. This is also considered one of the names of Lord Vishnu.
For those not in the know, Yami and Aditya have a very strong religious and spiritual side as they are often seen dropping photos while doing 'pooja'. Post the success of 'OMG 2', Yami had dropped some photos of performing pooja as she wrote, "Every ounce of Success and Love I have been receiving is all because of my beloved Maa Durga and Lord Shiva. I truly feel blessed! Love, Gratitude and Thanks to all! ❤️🙏🏻"

During the trailer launch of 'Article 370', Aditya had lauded Yami's dedication and revealed how she's on time on the set even if it's a 6am shoot, but never misses her spiritual rituals. He had said that she would wake up at 4am, take a shower, do her chanting, pooja and everything to be on the set sharp at 6am. At the same event, when the couple revealed that they're expecting a baby, Aditya had said that they do not know still if it's Ganesh ji or Laxmi ji who will arrive!

A while ago, Aditya had shared pictures with Yami as they visited a temple together. He wrote, "Jai Maa Baglamukhi! 🙏
What a beautiful pilgrimage it has been over the last two days, getting to pray at all the great, sacred Shaktipeeth Temples of Himachal.
Can’t wait to come back soon! Jai Mata Di! 🙏"

Clearly, Aditya and Yami continue to be deeply rooted in spirituality as they want their son to deeply imbibe that as well with this name. Here's wishing the couple heartiest congratulations!
