Woman suffers injuries when man throws hot water in unprovoked attack: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A woman suffered minor injuries when a man threw hot water at her in Manhattan Wednesday morning, according to police. 

The 27-year-old woman was walking near West 35th Street and Eighth Avenue around 8:30 a.m. when an unidentified man approached her and threw a cup of hot water at her, police said.

The assailant fled to parts unknown. The victim was treated for minor injuries throughout her body, authorities said. 

The attacker is described as having a slim build and was last seen wearing green pants, dark-colored sneakers, and a brown coat.

The attack was random and unprovoked, police said.
