Actor Akshay Kumar says his wife Twinkle Khanna critiques his looks, especially when they are stepping out together. Twinkle doesn't like it when the actor wears track pants and a T-shirt on their outings together. Instead, she prefers to see her husband dressed in a crisp white shirt and blue denim.
"I feel it’s all wives’ duty to critique their husbands’ wardrobe choices; it’s what makes them happy. Yes, she most definitely has a say when we’re dressing for an event together. On my own, she doesn’t mind what I look like, but when we’re together, she’d rather I didn’t wear my trusty track pants and training T-shirts. I can’t blame her, though," Akshay told HT City in a recent interview.
Twinkle had earlier shared at an award show how she had to cut off one of Akshay's track pants to ensure he doesn't wear them any more. Sharing what Akshay wears that she doesn't approve of, she said, "Track pants and hoodies. The last time I wanted him to get rid of one, I actually had to cut it."
For romantic dinners, Akshay prefers to wear whatever Twinkle decides. He said, "Sometimes, she asks me to surprise her, but she doesn’t like ridiculously expensive, over-the-top, trying-too-hard outfits. So, a shirt and pants are my go-to, but Tina has always liked me in a white shirt and denim jeans or black pants."
Twinkle, in 2019, shared that Akshay has a room full of clothes. Also, during an award show, she revealed, "He has more shoes than me. He's got pants pink, green, lilac, dark purple, yellow." Also, he has a team of 11 people who help him get ready.
While Akshay Kumar has a room full of clothes, his son Aarav, the actor shared, buys second-hand clothes from a thrift store. But his daughter Nitara is fond of buying good clothes for herself.
Work-wise, Akshay has a busy year ahead of him. He will be seen in Sudha Kongara’s 'Sarfira'. He also has 'Welcome To The Jungle', 'Singham Again', 'Khel Khel Mein' and 'Sky Force' in the pipeline.
