NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Cloudy skies in the morning will give way to a few peeks of sun later Sunday afternoon.
Parts of Long Island will still have some lingering rain to deal with though. In addition, it will be breezy at times with winds out of the northwest at 10 to 20 mph. Temperatures are expected to rise into the 50s.
Warmer conditions are in store for Monday and Tuesday as winds switch over to a southwest direction.
There is a chance of showers Monday night into Tuesday morning though as a front moves through the area. Afternoon highs will be in the low to mid-60s. Expect cooler and windier conditions on Wednesday.
