Volkswagen Taigun GT Line, GT Plus Sport launched in India: Check price, features, specifications and more

Volkswagen Auto India

has finally announced the prices of the

Volkswagen Taigun GT Line

and GT Plus Sport. The Taigun GT Line, with a

1.0-litre turbo petrol

, is priced at Rs 14.08 lakh, whereas the Taigun

GT Plus Sport

with a

1.5-litre turbo petrol

is priced from Rs 18.54 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Both variants are offered with manual and

automatic gearbox

options.

Interested customers can book the SUV online or by visiting their nearest dealership, deliveries are expected to begin soon.
The Volkswagen Taigun GT Line is only offered with 115 hp, 175 nm, 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and is priced between Rs 14.08 lakh-15.63 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can choose from either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The GT Line gets a similar

features list

as the top-spec Taigun Chrome Topline variant but with minor cosmetic changes. The GT line features 17-inch alloy wheels finished in ‘Cassino’ and all the chrome elements on the outside such as on the front grille, headlights, roof rails, spoiler and badges get black treatment.

Moving inside, the Taigun GT Line gets a blacked-out theme with contrast grey stitching on the doors, seat covers, front centre armrest and steering wheel. In terms of features, it gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, rear parking camera, automatic climate control and more.

Talking about the Taigun GT Plus, it’s only offered with 150 hp, 250 nm, 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and is priced between Rs 18.54 lakh-19.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can choose from either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The GT Line gets the same features as the top-spec Taigun GT Plus Chrome but with blacked-out styling.
It gets a contrasting red finish on the GT badges on the grille, front fender, bootlid and brake calipers. Inside too, the contrasting red theme continues. It can be seen on the seats, steering wheel, armrests, and doors and it also gets aluminium pedals. In terms of features, the GT Plus gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, powered front seats, an electric sunroof, TPMS, reverse camera and more.
