A major fire erupted at a diaper-manufacturing factory in Sawarali MIDC of the Bhiwandi Taluka in Maharashtra, officials said on Tuesday.
As per reports, a massive fire broke out on the first floor of Sadashiv Hygiene Private Limited Company at around 3 am on Tuesday. Within minutes, the entire building was engulfed in flames.
The manufacturing facility had plenty of diaper-making materials, plastic, cotton cloth in large quantities stored in abundance inside the building.
Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot from Bhiwandi, Kalyan and Thane to douse the fire, but the fire-fighting efforts were hampered due to the lack of water supply in the area. However, the blaze was eventually brought under control, the officials added.
The cause of the fire is not known yet, while no one is reported to be injured in the incident as well.
This came a day after a fire engulfed the roof of the four-storey BJP's office in Madhya Pradesh's Indore as party workers ignited firecrackers to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's oath-taking ceremony.
The fire started as some firecrackers ignited the scraps of plywood, an old sofa, waste materials, and various other pieces of furniture on the roof of the building, according to an official from the BJP media cell.
