Video: Couple thrashed, attacked with liquor bottles on Gurugram road

A couple was beaten up with empty liquor bottles and fists by a group of unidentified men travelling in an SUV in Gurugram on Monday evening.

The reason for the assault is not known yet.

The incident happened in the Basai Road area of the city where the accused attacked the man on a busy road. When his partner tried to intervene, she was also assaulted by the accused. The incident also led to a traffic jam and chaos on the road.

According to eyewitnesses and video footage of the incident, the men thrashed the pair and also attacked them with empty liquor bottles.

The video showed the men, who were travelling in a black Scorpio, beating the victims on the road. After the incident, the accused fled from the scene.

Earlier in March this year, a woman was allegedly molested and physically assaulted along with her husband by four men at a club in Gurugram. A First Information Report (FIR) was registered in the case and a probe was launched to arrest the accused.
