WASHINGTON:
Ukraine
had "no involvement whatsoever" in the
Moscow concert hall massacre
, the White House said Sunday, after President Putin suggested a Kyiv connection.
"IS bears sole responsibility for this attack," said White House national security council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson." IS-Khorasan is actually, by all accounts, responsible for what happened," agreed Vice President Kamala Harris in an interview, referring to the IS's branch in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
In London, UK finance minister Jeremy Hunt said the British govt had "very little confidence" in
Russia
's statements, accusing it of trying to "defend" it's assault on Ukraine. "We know that they are creating a smokescreen of propaganda to defend an utterly evil invasion of Ukraine," he said.
