In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Upasana opened up about how she is balancing her life after giving birth to her daughter, Klin Kaara Konidela. She mentioned the unwavering support and care she received from her partner, Ram Charan. "Being a mom, it is a huge battle for me to be as productive at work as I was before. I am trying my best and know I am going to excel at it," Upasana added.

On a serious note, Upasana stated that in the corporate world, women struggle to navigate through a lot of changes in both personal and professional life. She urged Corporate India to make amendments that can make it easier for women in India. With the help of
POSH committees
, she is working with companies on flexible maternity leave. "Another thing I would really like is for women to save their eggs through insurance," Upasana added.
The 34-year-old is working on different projects to ensure the workplace is comfortable and conducive for women. According to her, if women choose to have a career over having babies, they would not have to live off pocket money. "When you are ready to have kids and wealthy enough to do so, it will help women and the country to progress. I saved my eggs too, and I am proud to say Ram and I made a choice to have a child when we were in a comfortable space," she concluded.
Ram Charan and Upasana married each other in 2012. The couple started dating during their college days. In 2008, they became sure about their love for each other, and after dating for two years, they got engaged in 2011. They welcomed their baby girl, Klin Kaara Konidela, in 2023.
