NEW DELHI:
Miami Dolphins
wide receiver
Tyreek Hill
is now embroiled in a legal battle as
social media influencer
Sophie Hall filed a lawsuit in Broward County last week, alleging that Hill intentionally broke her leg during a football lesson at his home last year.
Hall, an influencer and model with over 2.1 million followers on Instagram, asserts that Hill's actions resulted in severe injuries, requiring surgery with orthopedic reconstruction and hardware implantation.
The incident reportedly occurred after Hall purchased a ticket for her son to attend the "Tyreek Hill Football Camp" at Boca Raton High School in June of 2023. Following the camp, Hill initiated contact with Hall through Instagram, expressing a desire to "meet up and get to know her." The lawsuit details flirtatious messages from Hill, including references to being a "good stepdad," and an invitation for Hall to come to his house in Southwest Ranches.
During Hall's visit to Hill's home, she participated in offensive line drills at Hill's invitation. According to the lawsuit, after making contact with Hill during the drills and garnering laughter from onlookers, Hill's demeanor shifted, and he allegedly charged into Hall violently during another play, resulting in significant injuries.
The suit further claims that Hill downplayed Hall's injuries, instructing her to rest and ice her leg. Hall stayed at Hill's home for a couple of days while he arranged her travel back home. Upon visiting a doctor upon her return, Hall discovered she had a right leg fracture requiring surgery with metal implants.
Tyreek Hill's attorney, when reached by NBC6, declined to comment on the lawsuit. Hill, 29, was traded from the
Kansas City Chiefs
to the Miami Dolphins in 2022 and signed a four-year contract extension worth a reported $120 million.
