indefinitely and also announced to sell around 30 lakh tonnes of rice and atta under "Bharat" brand in the next 4-5 months at subsidised rates. Govt also notified to continue zero import duty on yellow peas, contingent upon the issuance of the bill of landing by April 30.

He said rice prices which are ruling higher by 15% on a year-on year basis are expected to cool down as more Bharat rice is sold and arrival of rabi crop from March. So far, about 3.5 lakh tonnes of atta and 20,000 tonnes of rice under Bharat brand have been sold.
