Amid scorching heat, a tiger was spotted cooling off in a waterhole at the Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan.

A video of a tiger cooling off in a waterhole at the Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan amid scorching heat has surfaced online. Heat wave conditions have been prevailing in parts of Rajasthan since early May, apart from several other states in the country.
Amid such blistering heat, a waterhole turns into a sanctuary for animals seeking relief, as it did for the tiger seen in the short clip posted on the Instagram page of Ranthambore National Park earlier this week.
The tiger was seen relaxing in the waterhole to beat the heat as it also drank water from time to time to quench its thirst.
“Tiger quenching its thirst in summer,” reads the caption of the video post.
Earlier this month, Ranthambore’s page also shared a video of Tigress Noor drinking from a waterhole. “Amazing sighting of Noor T 39 at the waterhole in zone 1,” the post said.
Tigress Riddhi and her cubs often make an appearance in posts shared by Ranthambore’s Instagram page.
Ranthambore National Park, located in the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan, was once considered a popular hunting ground for the Maharajas of Jaipur. It is a renowned tourist spot for wildlife and nature lovers.
