Items signed by

Apple

founder

Steve Jobs

have previously been sold for huge amounts of money. According to a report by AppleInsider, Boston-based

RR Auction

has claimed that a rare Apple Computer

business card

signed by Jobs was recently sold for $181,183 at an auction.
The listing of the "Steve Jobs and the Apple Computer Revolution" auction noted that the business card from 1983 has been authenticated by popular memorabilia grading service PSA.

The card features the Cupertino-based tech giant's old six-colour logo. The card also listed the company's former address of 10495 Bandley Drive, in Cupertino, California.
In this card, Jobs was mentioned as the Chairman of Apple's Board of Directors. RR Auction claims that this sale has set a new record-high price for a signed business card.

Other items sold at the auction

Apart from the card, the auction also featured other items that included multiple Steve Jobs autographed items. These items were from the early days of computing and video games. However, the business card fetched the highest price in the auction.

The auction also sold a check signed by Steve Jobs, dated July 8, 1976, and it was payable to

Pacific Telephone

. The check was sent from the address "770 Welch Rd., Ste. 154, Palo Alto," which was the first official address of Apple and was sold for $66,069.
Other items in the auction included:

  • A sealed-in-box 4GB first-generation iPhone, sold for $147,286
  • Apple-1 signed by Steve Wozniak, sold for $323,789
  • Apple prototype mouse from 1984, sold for $14,616
  • Apple Videopad 2 Mockup prototype, sold for $26,488
  • 13 G3 iMacs, sold for $11,229
  • Two Apple Watch Hermes Series 0, sold for $9,375 and $10,865

In December 2023, a check signed by Steve Jobs in 1976 was also sent to the auction. The check was written for a $4.01 purchase at RadioShack and sold for $46,063. Last year, another check signed by Jobs sold for over $100,000 at another auction.
